Laco 1940s B-Uhr Type-B German Military Luftwaffe Pilot/Navigation watch. I have a great deal of experience with watches, but I will admit that this watch is not my area of expertise.
And I will describe all the details honestly and to the best of my knowledge. PLEASE feel free to ask any questions you might have. I have not done anything to the watch aside from removing the caseback and adding a strap. The strap is an open ended strap that is secured with rivets, which I just installed (brand new strap, never worn). 2 extra rivet assemblies are included. The strap is quite long and will fit up to a 9 wrist or more. I have not removed the bezel/crystal, and I have not even done anything to even try to clean the exterior of the watch. 55 mm case diameter (without crown) and 21.5 mm thick (with crystal). You can see all the markings in the photos. The exterior of caseback has serial number H2285. The interior of the caseback is marked Werk-Nr. And the movement bears serial number 02285. I have tried to do research to try to date the exact year of production, but I was not able to find much.
It is running strong and keeping great time. I have had it running for 5 days now, and it seems to be within about 5 seconds per day. This was measured face up, with the watch simply flat on a desk.
